Start your day with a refreshing spinach and mixed berry smoothie.
Try freezing your own local berries when they are in season to use in smoothies all year long. When bananas start getting ripe, just peel them, slice them, and pop them into a freezer bag, and freeze to use in smoothies. Using frozen berries and bananas will give you a thick, almost ice-cream texture, and you may need to add a little nut milk to help it blend.
- 2 cups frozen organic blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, or a mixture
- 3 cups spinach (packed)
- 1 cup non-dairy milk, like almond milk
- 1 large banana, frozen
Put the berries, spinach, nut milk and banana into blender. Process, scraping down as needed. Blend until smooth and serve.
