This vegan smoothie is bursting with flavor and full of blood pumping nutrients that strengthen blood vessels and capillaries, reduce plaque formation, and improve blood flow. It’s an ideal post VIBE recovery meal to offset inflammation and DOMS (delayed offset muscle soreness.)
1 ripe, frozen banana
1 scoop of vegan vanilla protein powder (Vega Sport)
1 tsp. maca powder
2 tbsp. cacao powder
2 medjool dates, pitted
1 tsp. raw vanilla
2 tsp. orange zest (use non-waxed oranges)
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 cup almond milk
¼ – ½ tsp. cayenne powder (to taste)
cacao nibs (for garnish)
orange zest (for garnish)
1. Place all ingredients into a blender or vitamix.
2. Blend till smooth. Taste, and adjust cayenne to your preference for spice.
3. Serve. Garnish with cacao nibs and orange zest.
