Pure Vibe Helps Lower Your Risk of Breast Cancer

Prevent breast cancer

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and at Pure Vibe we’re equipped to help you improve your health in ways that can help prevent breast cancer. We will help you attain your health & fitness goals as you thrive in our studio with 72 classes per week to choose from, nutritional & lifestyle coaching and ongoing motivational support. In addition to our whole body vibration machines, we have a body composition analysis machine (BCA) and can monitor your body mass index (BMI), body fat analysis (BFA), and hydration levels.

We promote the VIBE Lifestyle which includes daily exercise, 8 quality hours of sleep per night, good hydration via 3-4 liters of alkaline water per day, whole food plant-based nutrition, eliminating toxins such as; smoking, drinking, non prescription drugs, cleaning & personal care products and reducing stress levels. This active holistic lifestyle will reduce your risk of pain and disease up to 60-70%.

According to the National Cancer Institute, more than 60 studies from around the globe show regular exercise can reduce pre and postmenopausal women’s risk of breast cancer by 40%. The greatest benefits were found in women who exercised daily for 30-60 minutes. At Pure Vibe, our Vibers enjoy the benefits of a 60 minute workout in just 20 minutes!

Regular quality sleep not only feels great, it also positively impacts our biochemistry for health. Two hormones integral to your sleep/wake cycle are cortisol and melatonin. According to Stanford University’s Professor David Spiegel, in Brain, Behaviour, and Immunity, women at high risk for breast cancer often have a shifted cortisol cycle. And melatonin, a hormone that prepares us for sleep and maintains sleep, works as an antioxidant as well as reduces estrogen levels that are a factor in tumour growth.

Diet is another major contributor to a healthy lifestyle and cancer prevention. Studies show that gluten and sugar free vegans have a huge advantage. Cancer risks increase as consumption of gluten, sugar, dairy, meat and animal fats in the diet increase especially in cancers of the breast and colon. Vegetables and plant-based foods on the other hand have health promoting fibre, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytochemicals that protect your cells from cancer growth.

Join our Vibe Community this October and see how we can work together to achieve your health goals and lower your risk for breast cancer!
