“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgiving, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings!” ~ William Arthur Ward

This Thanksgiving we at Pure Vibe wish you and your family a joyous time to express your gratitude for all the people and abundance you have in your life, and to celebrate your relationships.

Gratitude is an appreciative state of mind, which has been proven to protect your health and strengthen your relationships. Did you know that more than 90% of doctor visits are in some way related to stress and its negative impacts? Gratitude can reduce levels of stress and stress hormones, which over time play a role in the development of many ailments, including heart disease and even cancer. According to a 2012 study published in Personality and Individual Differences, grateful people report less aches and pains, manage their health better, and exercise more. The Amercian Journal of Cardiology published a study that shows positive emotions and appreciation can reduce hypertension, and lower the incidence of sudden death from heart disease. And a University of Utah study showed that those who are optimistic and grateful have stronger immune systems.

The benefits of gratitude further include your psychological well-being and a better night’s sleep! An attitude of gratitude improves happiness, and reduces depression and the toxic emotions of envy, anger, frustration, jealousy, resentment and regret. A 2011 study published in Applied Psychology: Health and Wellbeing discovered those who regularly record the things they’re grateful for in a journal have a better quality of sleep, and sleep longer.

At Pure Vibe, we are grateful to be a part of your health and wellness journey, and wish you a happy and healthy holiday!
